Technical Intern Training

Technical Intern Training is a work training program held in Japan for foreign workers from developing countries. Its main goal is to provide practical on-the-job training that participants can utilize upon returning to their home country. This program typically lasts for 3 years but can be extended up to 5 years if there is an agreement between the company and the participant.

General Requirements:

  • Age: Usually between 18 and 28 years old, depending on the program type and company policy.
  • Education: Minimum high school (SMA/SMK) graduate. For some technical fields, D3 or S1 graduates may be preferred.
  • Health: Physically and mentally healthy, with no history of illness that could interfere with work.
  • Language Skills: Sufficient Japanese ability, at least JLPT N4 level or equivalent.
  • Documents: ID card, family card, birth certificate, diploma, health certificate.
  • Status: Not affiliated with another LPK, not employed, and has not participated in previous internship programs.
  • Permission: Approval from parents or guardians.
  • Attitude: Good ethics, mental strength, and discipline.
  • Height & Weight: Ideally at least 160 cm (male) / 150 cm (female), proportional.
  • Color Vision: Generally no color blindness; some programs allow corrective lenses.
  • No Tattoos: Generally no tattoos.
